  Meet The Author! 


Originally from Ghana, Dora Owusu currently resides in the United States with her husband and two children. She is a proud alumna of Saint Francis College in Brooklyn, New York, where she majored in Sociology with a concentration in Social Work. 


Dora Owusu cherishes the history of Africa and the African Diaspora. Her love for these subjects served as inspiration for her lovely children’s stories. Her work is centered on educating young people about the importance of African history and culture.


In addition to her writing, Dora is the founder of Language Is Our Identity (LOID), a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving native languages in Ghana for future generations. LOID provides school supplies and books that teach indigenous languages to children in Ghana, in an effort to safeguard traditional knowledge and cultural identity.
